How an erection ring works
An erection ring, also called a constriction ring or c ring for men, sits at the base of the penis. Gentle, even pressure slows blood from flowing back out, so erections are firmer and last longer while the ring is on. The effect is mechanical and stops when the ring comes off.
FirmTech rings loop around the base of the penis and behind the testicles. FirmTech says this peno-scrotal design spreads pressure evenly, and that its rings keep blood in without blocking ejaculation.
What the TechRing tracks
Worn during sex, the TechRing measures firmness and duration. Worn overnight, it counts nighttime erections and measures their strength and length. The app rolls this into one 0 to 100 Erectile Fitness Score and lets you log sleep, drinks, workouts and medication to see what moves it.
The TechRing holds a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 101 reviews on getfirmtech.com, as of November 2026. FirmTech says app data is HIPAA compliant, never sold, and shared with a doctor only if you choose.
